Immanuel Debeer of @flighthacks is originally from Belgium and now lives in Perth Australia where he runs Flight Hacks as a full-time blogger. He is also the co-founder of a bill payment platform in Australia called Frequent Pay which allows business customers to pay anyone using their reward credit card.

In this episode, Immanuel and I discuss the best ways to fly between the United States and Australia on points, and the unique challenges that often make these routes difficult. We will be discussing routes, airline products, and of course, how to do it all on points.

One of the airlines most associated with Australia is Qantas Airlines, and pretty much everyone other than Chase transfers points there. You can use American Express, Citi, or Capital One. With these currencies, some of the most popular cards to use for points and miles are the Amex Gold, Citi Premier, and Capital One Venture X.
