Alida Lupari from @alitravelpoints is a travel hacker who was born and raised in Panama. Quick history lesson: in the 1980s, Manuel Noriega was a Panamanian politician and military officer who was the de facto dictator ruler of Panama. It was during this time that banks were frozen in the country, many of the financial institutions became unreliable, and Alida’s family fled and immigrated to the United States.
Fast forward to today: Alida has traveled to 38 countries so far, many of them for free, and loves sharing her travels with her husband and 3 kids. In today’s episode, we talk about how she was able to save $10,000 on a 10-night luxury wellness vacation and save $12,000 on a trans-continental European trip that included a segment in the highly-coveted first-class Singapore Suites.
